Example made a stellar return in 2012 exploding back onto the forefront with the recent release of his fourth studio album The Evolution of Man. The album has already spawned two hit singles ‘Say Nothing’ and ‘Close Enemies’ blazing dance floors and airwaves around the world with his signature killer lyrics and new-found rock inspired darker beats. Not ample enough for Example, he also announced his second arena tour kicking off in early February 2013, 16-dates of full throttle, high octane shows filled with his expanding plethora of hits.
Now Example has released the third single ‘Perfect Replacement’ from the new album which is a huge dance anthem with his trademark candid lyrics and killer chorus carrying you through to a climax of heaving drum and bass with the distinct and sharp rap that stadium crowds have grown to crave.
In 2012 Example played the main stage at V Festival next to Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and The Stone Roses to rave reviews awarding him the label of ‘the toast of Britpop royalty’ by the NME. As well as securing his roots on home ground by smashing recent performances at Capital Jingle Bell Ball at London’s O2 and Key 103 in Manchester, the Example Live experience is making major waves worldwide. Alongside his US shows he recently appeared at Stereosonic in Brisbane and then wrapped up 2012 by bagging himself a massive 17 show residency at Mallorca and Ibiza Rocks next summer. In February he will once again be tearing up arenas around the UK with his next headline tour. Just announced as main support on all dates is Benga who will be joined by Sway, P Money, Micky Slim and Baller B on selected dates.
Who better to team up with than BBC Radio 1’s Dance Anthem’s host, Danny Howard, to deliver a remix of his outstanding single to add yet another element to this sure fire hit.
Ministry of Sound has released the ‘Perfect Replacement’ EP, featuring remixes from Danny Howard, R3hab & Hard Rock Sofa, Datsik and Toyboy & Robin. The single is available now, on the album ‘The Evolution of Man’.
